If you're looking for answers, you might find them here. These are the most common questions we get asked about enrolment with Online Courses Australia. Remember, we are here to help - if you have another question, please call us on 1300 0 665 463.
How do I complete the course online?
It's quite easy actually. If you have the computer skills required to login to Facebook and browse the internet, you should have no trouble using our learning system.
You simply login to our learning portal to access all the learning material and assessments. All assessments are completed inside the learning portal, or as a file upload into the portal e.g. Word document for reports & essays.
Do I need to purchase any additional study materials?
No. All the learning content is provided inside the learning system. Most of the online learning material is also printable, should you prefer to study that way.
Do I need any special software to do the course?
Not really. The learning portal will be accessible using any up-to-date web browser, such as Google Chrome or Safari. In order to complete assignments, you will need basic word processing software. If you don't have a program such as Microsoft Word, you can use the free alternative Open Office.
What if I change my mind about the course?
All nationally recognised qualifications have a 5-day cooling-off period, and short courses have a 2 day cooling-off period.. This enables you to evaluate the course without incurring the total course fee. If you decide you would prefer a different course, you can transfer to a new course without penalty during this cooling-off period.
What kind of help can I get during my study?
We offer ample support to all students. Your primary point of contact will be your tutor. You'll be introduced to your tutor upon enrolment. During times when your tutor is unavailable, we also provide a Tutor Live Chat (TLC) service. This service lets you ask questions of a pool of industry experts and get an immediate online response.
Should you have issues which fall outside the areas of your tutor's expertise, you can contact our Student Services team. They can help with things such as technical issues, enrolments and payment issues.
How long does the course take to complete?
All our courses are self-paced. This means they can be completed as quickly or as slowly as you like. The only limitation you have is the course access period - this is the default amount of time you are given to access and complete the course. We are generous with this period, and estimate it well above the average completion time. If you do require more time in excess of the default access period, extensions are available (monthly fees may apply).
