As a Registered Training Organisation, Online Courses Australia is committed to protecting our student's privacy.

We understand that our students expect privacy in their transactions with us and for their information to be both secure and used only for the purposes for which it is provided as advised by us.

 

Personal information collected as a result of your enrolment will be used by Online Courses Australia and the Department of Employment and Training for general student administration, vocational education and training administration and regulation, as well as departmental planning, reporting, communication, research, evaluation, auditing and marketing. Only authorised departmental officers have access to this information.

Your personal information may be disclosed to Commonwealth and State Government authorities and agencies.

 

Your personal information may be shared with other Online Courses Australia establishments in which you enrol or apply to enrol, as stated in the Online Courses Australia Student Handbook.

If you are a school-based apprentice or trainee, your personal information, attendance details, progress and results will be disclosed to your school and the Queensland Studies Authority.

Your results may be disclosed to the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre.

If you are an apprentice/trainee, your personal information, attendance details, progress and results will be disclosed to your employer or host employer.

If you are under the age of 18 years your personal information, attendance details, progress and results may be disclosed to your parent/guardian.

 

No further access to your enrolment information will be provided to any other organisation or persons without your consent or, unless authorised or required by law, in accordance with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988.

 

Information on the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 can be found on the Federal Privacy Commissioner's web site. The Education Portal provides access to many online resources, which are not under our direct control. You should read the conditions of use and other statements of these sites. Conwal Virtual Site

The Online Courses Australia Virtual learning site provides a range of services for their students in an online learning environment  The information we collect from you as a student is used for the purposes of providing on-line services and support. This Privacy statement applies to the Online Courses Australia website and does not apply to any web linked sites. It should also be noted that while courses delivered on the Online Courses Australia virtual learning site are stored on the Online Courses Australia server the information they contain is managed by Online Courses Australia's Learning Management System and staff delivering the course. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of any linked sites to familiarize yourself with their privacy policies.

Collection an use of Site Visit Data

Online Courses Australia does not collect or record personal information, other than that you choose to provide through online enrolment requests form, or events registration.

 

Two types of online data are collected:

  1. Visitor logs and statistics so that we know how busy our site is; and
  2. Information provided by users through feedback forms on this site. If you complete a feedback from, we will collect your first and last name, organisation (if applicable), and email address.

Emails and Electronic Forms

We will record your email address only if you send us a message. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes for which you have provided it. Your email address will not be added to a mailing list, unless you have provided it to us in order to subscribe to one of our subscription services. Where you choose to send us a completed electronic form that includes your personal details, we do collect personally identifiable information, such as name, address and email address. Visitor logs and statistics

This site gathers statistics on users' online experience. Information collected includes:

Online Enrolment information is stored on the Online Courses Australia Server and passed directly on to the relevant staff member. The requested enrolment application information conforms to the AVETMISS (Australian Vocational Education & Training Management Information Statistical Standard) requirements, which all students are required to provide when enrolling.
