Austudy and Abstudy
Austudy and Abstudy are forms of government financial assistance that provide fortnightly payments to eligible students enrolled to study in approved courses.
Many Online Courses Australia courses are Austudy- and Abstudy-approved. You will need to apply directly to your Centrelink or Job Service Agency office to receive these benefits. They'll also be able to provide you with details on eligibility requirements.
Education Entry Payment
The Education Entry Payment is a taxable payment of $208 that is available to students enrolling in an approved education course. Those eligible for the Education Entry Payment include anyone receiving the Newstart Allowance, Parenting Payment, Partner Allowance, Widow Allowance or Youth Allowance who has not already received the payment in the last 12 months and who has been receiving their main payment for at least four weeks.

Training Supplement
The Training Supplement of $41.60 per fortnight is payable to eligible Newstart Allowance jobseekers and Parenting Payment Single customers who commence an approved full-time course before 30 June 2011.
To be eligible for the Training Supplement, a jobseeker must:
- have not attained Year 12 or equivalent qualifications, or
- have attained their trade or technical qualification some time ago, which can be upgraded or enhanced to provide improved employment opportunities.

Pensioner Education Supplement
The Pensioner Education Supplement (PES) is a tax-free payment of up to $62.40 per fortnight to help with the costs of full-time or part-time study.
You may be eligible for assistance if you are enrolled in an approved course and currently receive a Youth Allowance, Carer Payment, Disability Support Pension, Parenting Payment or Newstart Allowance.

Parents Returning to Work programme for Victorian residents
The Returning to Earning programme is an initiative of the Victorian Government, administered by AMES. The programme provides a grant of up to $1000, to assist parents planning to return to work after an absence caring for dependent children.
